Our new door has finally arrived and been installed. Isn't it beautiful! Thanks Dad and Mom!

Halloween

We know that it's a little past October but we still wanted to share our Halloween with you. In a contest with our friends, Jenny and Sean, we won first prize with our "Pumpkin, Pumpkin" (Far left).


Once again, my 3rd graders loved to have Cinderella as their teacher for a day. They got an extra surprise when my Prince Charming came to visit during the Halloween Party!

Some prefer a bed...

...and others prefer a snake! Just another one of Ashlyn's "I'm not going to sleep in my room" episodes. Caught in the hallway upstairs with baby doll, Emma's birthday bear, water, and a book. What else do you need? 

Happy Halloween

As you can see, we had a very fun and tiring Halloween. Emma was the cutest purple dragon you've ever seen, and Ashlyn was a pretty, glittery ghost. We dressed up and went to Omniture in the afternoon for some office trick-or-treating (I'll have to send a picture of Josh's Karate Kid Shower costume ASAP). The kids had a blast, and Ashlyn made out like a bandit. The plan was to go home, have some birthday dinner for Josh and Emma, and then hit the neighborhood. Well, Omniture was just a little too much fun - they both were zonked by the time we got home. So, instead, Josh had fun scaring all the trick-or-treaters that came to the house. All-in-all, it was a very fun Halloween. 

Jason's picture has a home...

Well, the long awaited day has finally arrived...Jason's picture is hung!! That's right, we finally got the furniture, the frame, and most everything in place. That red and gold striped throw looking thing on the chair is actually our drapes. When I get around to getting those done, I'll send off some more pictures. We still need some lamps and accessories, but I'm so thankful to finally have a front room instead of a toy room as the first thing people see. Thanks to Mom and Dad and Jason for making this room possible. Love you all. 

GARRETT'S FIRST BLOG

Happy Halloween! As you can tell, we had fun! Scott and I were Sunny and Cher, I think we looked rather dashing. We had a 70's theme Murder Mystery party and everyone went all out! It was tons of fun!

The Kids had an awesome Halloween (although I think Aubrey has been on a sugar crash all day today, in her words "this was not a good day") Send all your recent Halloween pictures my way for the calendar!

Pumpkin Land

We went to a place called Pumpkin Land for playgroup the other day. We had a ton of fun, and Ashlyn got to pick out her very own pumpkin. As you can see, the girls are growing bigger and cuter every day. Happy Fall, everyone!

Cake and Water Balloons

The night would not have been complete without water balloons, Uncle Josh turning the sprinklers on everyone, a fabulous "Cookie Monster Cake" (provided by the talented Kathleen), and ice cream. So much fun packed into one little night! Thanks for the memories. 

Relays

The night also included relays and jumping games (yes, the adults participated as well). Bret (a.k.a. "Frog Legs") is the reigning "adult" distance jumper. 

Water Games

The Springers, Gundersens, and Dahmers got together for a Water Fun Unbirthday Family Home Evening on Monday night. One of the fun games was racing with water-filled cups on your head to see who could fill up the pitcher first. What a riot! 

What a Morning!

If it's quiet in the house, there must be trouble. I was folding laundry in the family room, and Ashlyn was playing in the front room...or so I thought. I kept calling her name, asking her to come show me what she was doing. Finally, she brought down my hot pink nail polish and showed me her beautiful toes that she had just finished. I panicked! I scooped her up and asked her to show me where she was painting her nails. Amazingly enough, there was only one dish towel ruined and a tiny bit on the carpet. A little while later, she had taken off her diaper (it had some nail polish on it) and came down to show me this brown stuff on her hand. I looked at her bum, and sure enough, she had poop smears. I panicked...again. I asked her if she had pooped on the floor, and she said she had. We went looking again, and found nothing. Another major catastrophe averted. Needless to say, it has been quite the morning!

Springer Summer Activities (thus far)

We have had a great summer so far, with time spent on the Oregon Coast, in Portland for the 4th, Wenatchee for some fun runnin', bikin' and swimmin', strawberry picking (some ate more than they picked) and of course HAPPY BIRTHDAY GARRETT! He is a big 7 years old! Does that sound really old to anyone else but me?!
