Fun Filled Weekend

Mon March 12, Aubrey sang in her Preschool program. She was loving life on stage! One good thing about having a small little girl is that she gets to stand in the front row. She sang at the top of her voice with hand motions bigger than life. She does everything 100%!
We had some great, well experienced Leprechauns come and stay with us for the weekend of Aubrey's birthday. See if you can see the strategically placed shoe that Grandma leprechaun placed.
Aubrey's birthday was a rainbow pony party which was fitting because we had in on Sat, March 17, St Patty's day. We had rainbows galore and a rave review from the birthday girl, who said, "this was the bestest birthday I ever had". She is already thinking about next year and wants to have a rainbow Unicorn party. Gonna mix it up a bit I guess.
This mom loves making cakes too. Guess it's part of the birthday fun for us!
We had a great birthday/St Patty's weekend with Mom and Dad in town. We started with Misty's birthday dinner with Mom and Dad when we shared the exciting news that their 3 daughters are all going to have babies this year. Nov 20 is Misty's due date.

Then Misty put everyone to work getting ready for Aubrey's party (some things never change). Dad created a fantastic treasure hunt that included p0nies, buried eggs, draw bridges and of course, Sirs and Maidens with one Birthday Princess. The kids loved searching for their treasure over the rainbow. Mom and dad were invaluable in helping pull it all together! Mom and dad left after going to Garrett's basketball game and cheering for their favorite basketball team.

After mom and dad left we spent a beautiful spring day at the park. What a wonderful weekend. Don't know how we could have made it better.

The Long awaited Nursery!

After 3 full days of painting, it's finally done! I am super proud of it, so if you don't like it, don't tell me. The stripes are perfectly straight thanks to the new caulking method I used. We are all set for the baby now, although unfortunately he won't be using his room until he's 4 months old (when we get back from Virginia Beach for Caleb's summer job).

Cassi's Baby Shower

We had a fun baby shower for Cassi this morning. We missed all of you who couldn't come. Cassi got lots of cute baby clothes, blankets, bath stuff...LOTS of stuff.:) Isn't Cassi so cute pregnant?

My First Bike!

One of Ashlyn's birthday presents was a new bicycle. Everytime we would see a bike at the store, she would beg to ride it. So, last night, we wrapped up her new helmet and had her open it first. She knew right away that it was a helmet you wore when you rode a bike. We asked her if she had a bike...and she said no. We asked if she was sure and told her to go look out in the garage. I think the second picture describes her reaction the best.:)

Yummy Care Bear Cake!

This birthday was a Power Tumbling Care Bear Party. Really, the only thing Care Bear was a balloon and the cake.:) Mom sure has fun making these fun cakes and watching the kids enjoy it. (Oh yeah, and Mom and Dad seemed to like it, too.:))

Happy 3rd Birthday, Ashlyn!

Ashlyn had a very fun birthday yesterday! We had a fun time at the Power Tumbling Gym, then we came back to the house for pizza, cake, ice cream and fun! When she woke up on her birthday, she saw all of the balloons and table set-up and she said, "Mom, this is great!" It made it all worth it!:)

Although we weren't very good about keeping track of our scores, we still had a lot of fun. Here is the proof...just look at those kids' smiles.:)

Family History Christmas

Thank you Josh and Mindy. I made a frame and painted it to look like stone. It is haning in the den waiting for us to fill in a few hundred blanks.

New yeas day traditions

Here are our bowling scores. The rest of you need to post yours so we can decide on who buys ice cream. My feeling is we are probably on for this year. Tyler just barely beat Jade. But he has many other strengths.

News Years Eve Fun

Tyler created a Lemure at Jade's request. It was a great "hit" (pun intended).

And the winner is...

By a matter of mere minutes, and the good fortune of helping someone jump their car, the Cotton-Headed Ninny Muggins took home the coveted trophy. Emma couldn't have been more proud. Although, I must say, I don't think that either the participants or the winners had any complaints about the awards. (wink, wink) Thanks, Mom and Dad, for a memorable and fun Christmas vacation! We love you!

Some other fun tasks to be completed were singing "My Favorite Things" in front of Target while being videotaped, shopping for an eight-different color ingredient salad to be eaten that night at dinner, riding the Wenatchee Trolley, and taking a picture of the downtown clock exactly on the hour. The night was snowy and the roads were a bit trecherous, but we had a great time.

Team: Cotton-Headed Ninny Muggins

The Amazing Race was one of this year's highlights. We were divided into two teams and sent out at 2:00 pm with a bag of stuff and orders to be back by 5:00 pm. Whichever team could complete the tasks in the shortest amount of time (and who had the most points) would win the coveted trophy. Some of the tasks included calling from a pay phone to answer trivia questions, taking pictures at different locations around Wenatchee, frisbee golf in the snow, and putting together a puzzle at the WRAC.
