Our new room!

After a week and a half of caulking, stripping, patching, and repairing the walls and trim in this small room, I was finally able to finish painting. It was the longest project ever since everytime I turned around, a new something or other needed to be fixed but it is now done and we love it!

Guess where we are?

I could hear Ashlyn and Emma playing so well together from the family room. They were quoting Dora and laughing...but something sounded a little different - almost like an echo. Upon further inspection....I found the two had crawled into the dryer and were having the time of their life. Oh, to be a kid again!:)

This week's Cake

Ok, so they are really cupcakes but aren't they cute? I was hesitant to do the clowns because I am not a fan, but I actually really like them. So fun!

Better Late than Never

We loved having all the family here for Garrett's baptism it was a wonderful show of love and support. We love you all. (yes I know it is now Oct and Garrett was baptized in Aug! But here we are now, and the pictures are still great)

Look at that Hair!

I have been waiting so long for Coop to get enough hair to do something with and the day has finally come. Above, I spiked as much of it as I could and below, we gave him a mohawk! I think I have too much fun with it!

Ethan at 3 Months

Is this the cutest boy you've ever seen, or what? I can't believe he is already 3 months old. I love his happy smiles and fun babble. He is a wonderful baby...we're so lucky.

Cake Decorating

Cassi and I are taking a cake decorating class - and we're having a blast. Just thought I'd share my first cake...Cassi, if you haven't eaten yours, take a picture and share it with the fam! (Just so you know, it looks almost identical to mine.:)) We'll photograph our work every week so you can follow our progress.:)

.....I kiss those lips. Broc not only gutted the deer he took a bite out of the liver. This picture shows that peer pressure makes people do weird things. We were all really impressed of the nick in the antlers from the many shots Broc took while the deer was running. My family had never seen that before with all the hunting they have done.

This was the first hunt this season for Broc & he shot his first deer!! He had so much fun! Broc and Harvey both got a good size deer. Broc's deer's rack was 3x4. He was so happy. My brothers joked that he is now officially a "man." I'm so proud of my him.

We are finally able to post. And all of you were right. It is so easy. Julie and I are now officially apart of the family.

Ethan's Baby Blessing

We all gathered for Ethan's blessing at the Dahmer chapel. It was fun to get both sides of the family together. Josh is telling me what to write as he is teaching me how to post to the blog. It's about time I get started! Broc and Julie, you're next.

Let's go fly a kite...

It's been so much fun having Grandma and Grandpa come visit! Despite working their tails off all week on house projects, we did stop a few times to have some fun. We had a great time at the park flying kites and playing. Grandpa has some pretty good kite-flying skills!

It is a rare occurence for Coop to laugh (he holds his breath instead) but Grandma AJ just hit the jackpot in this video. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Enjoying the last warm days...

I love evenings like this...running races, eating ice cream cones with hose attachments ("Emma, gross! Stop doing that!" (click, click)), dancing, making funny faces, and frolicking naked in the backyard (no, not all of us). We're going to miss these warm evenings, but we're looking forward to the beautiful days of fall.

Coop's First Experience with Rice Cereal

Coop did not like his first taste of Rice cereal. The texture was totally throwing him off! With every bite, the face got worse. After a while, Daddy made me stop because he felt so bad for him. At the end, Cooper preferred his bib to the rice cereal.


After a few tries, Cooper now enjoys his cereal just as much as the rest of us!
