A Week in Paradise

I don't want to brag or rub it in but I figured you all would at least be curious...so here are some pics. Please don't hate!

The pool that was about 100 feet from the beach...may sound silly but it was quite refreshing to go from salty beach to non-salty water.

Ziplining in the rainforest...Dad was nice enough to play cards with me while everyone else went ziplining. They said it was pretty fun.

On the Catamaran, a party boat we were on the night before the wedding with the whole wedding party. Let's just say there was plenty to drink on that boat!

We had beach olympics that conisted of Pong Luge, Marsh-put, and 3 legs...awesome games that if you really want details, you can ask Dad. We all got little medals for winning.

Happy Halloween!

What could be cuter than vampire babies?:) (Thanks, Michelle.) We've been having fun at our house making haunted gingerbread houses, trying on our new fairy wings, and pretending to be vampires. Just some good ol' Halloween fun!

As a side note, please take note of the Emma in the bottom center picture. This is her new favorite face. I think I got about 20 pictures with her making this face. The best is when she makes this face and does her pirate imitation. I'll see if I can get that on video sometime. Happy Halloween, everyone!

Fun in Colorado

We went to Colorado to visit Jason and Alexa last weekend. We had so much fun hiking, hot tubing and talking. Now we know why Jason and Alexa love where they live. It is a beautiful place with a lot of things to do outdoors. We had a fantastic time!! Thanks Jason and Alexa.

It's a Boy!!!

I was going to just show a almond joy but apparently that is a little confusing for some. So I will just post adorable pictures of the newest addition to the Gundersen clan. We love him and we know you will too.

Wasps and Bees talk...and plan revenge together

Our garden this year hasn't been the most "fruitful" one. We planted Watermelons, Cucumbers (two different kinds), Pumpkins, and Tomatoes. We literally didn't harvest a single tomato the entire summer until a week or two ago. As we've heard from many, this year was NOT the year for tomatoes. What little we did get early on fell culprit to one of the 6 little hands in our home--but that was maybe just 1 or 2 tomatoes.

The watermelon turned out great--it was small but pretty tasty. The watermelon ended up being the pride of our garden.

Before I comment on the pumpkins and cucumbers, I want to warn everyone that 1) wasps hold grudges, 2) they communicate with bees, and 3) they plan revenge together. Last summer and this summer, I've had an on going war with the wasps that try to attach their homes to our home. Most of these wars start with me spraying their homes with a hose, then spraying them as they get near me, then spraying myself or kids around me because the wasp got too close, and then me really getting upset and making sure that wasp never returns. The last part has to do with me gunning the wasp down and giving it the nice stomp down.

The wasps had the last laugh this year since they persuaded the bees to demonstrate the power of cross-pollination with the cucumbers and the pumpkins. See the picture below. We officially have green pumpkins and orange cucumbers. Maybe we'll carve all of them for Halloween. Anyone for pumpbers and cucumkins?

Until today, we did not have a family picture with Ethan in it. Well, now that he is 15 months old, we thought it was about time. We had our pictures taken by Tiffany Moody...and they turned out soooooooooooooo cute! I'm only giving you a sampler, because there were too many to post them all. My favorite family picture is being saved for the annual Christmas Card, so that will just have to wait. (I know, the suspense is killing you!) But for now, enjoy these adorable pictures...I know we are!

True Blue, through & through

So it's Homecoming week here at BYU and for the first time in both our college careers, we decided to participate in the festivities of the week. Today was "True Blue Football" and I so wish I would have taken part in this mass of foam in previous years! It was so fun and I felt a little slighted since I couldn't participate to the fullest extent while being prego. Cooper couldnt' get enough of it though and watching him was almost enough to quench my foam experience. For those of you who are unfamiliar with this activity, it is meerly huge amounts of blue foam spread across football fields and slip n' slides. Super fun!

Who knows what they use to dye the foam blue but it does dye your skin as well. It's all part of the fun!

The murphey bed and cabinets are now complete. This is my newest bady so I thought I would send you some pictures. 1. Veiw of the whole unit. 2. Lower left, close up view of the detail molding (corner piece with window pain etching). 3. Lower right, cabinet door desin, again with the window pain design. It was a fun project. The real fun parts were creating the molding, all of which were our own designs (except the top crown molding) and second creating the jigs (guy thing) I used to create the project. I haven't put the folding table on the front yet. Mom wants to enjoy it the way it is for a while (I think she is nervous it will not look as good). She has told me to start on the refreshment center down stairs and to have that completed by Christmas. Fun, fun, fun.
