Library Time

This is Library Time. We go every Thursday as a family into a little room at the library where Miss Gerri reads some books, sings some songs, and helps with a simple craft. Coop LOVES it. He gets so into the books and songs that he'll end up wandering up there without even realizing it. He's such an observant little boy. While the other 2 year-olds are running around reeking havoc, he can't seem to take his eyes off the teacher. It's so fun to watch him enjoy something so much.

He loved making the crafts. He was always SO proud of them.

This month's session of library time is over, but needless to say, we will be attending every month from now on :-)

Graham Jason is THREE!

This is the birthday cake that inspired Graham to potty train. He talked about his cake at least 20 times a day for the entire month of May (and some of April too, it almost drove me nuts). Anyway, any time he brought up how yummy his cake would be and how it was going to have chocolate and strawberries on it I brought up the fact that he was going to be potty trained before we made his cake. My plan worked! He was potty trained before his third birthday.

I've really been enjoying taking pictures lately so I thought I'd share a few.

The Jazz Kitchen

What a way to start off our Indianapolis experience! Our friend Cadee came and stayed with our sleeping boys while we went with our good friends Kate & Jeremy and Brooke & Chase to a The Jazz Kitchen. It actually was latin night at the Jazz club so even though I am the farthest thing from a good dancer, we had a good time swinging our hips to the latin beat! I have never been to a club before so it really was an experience to remember. (And I have to admit that I was pretty excited when I walked in and they checked our ID's :-)

3 Months Already?!

I guess we got lucky twice because Carter has been just as chill a baby as Cooper was. We couldn't have gotten a better baby. He sleeps from 11-7 every night and is obviously eating well. We love the little guy to pieces!

Mother's Day

I don't know about you, but I had a wonderful Mother's Day! It started off on Saturday with Caleb surprising me with a pedicure. He took the boys shopping while I enjoyed an hour of bliss. I was in desperate need of a pedicure so I was super grateful! Then at church on Sunday we got some AMAZING chocolate not only after sacrament but also some more during Relief Society. After church, Caleb made me my favorite dinner...breakfast! I wanted the works; waffles w/ strawberries, eggs, bacon, sausage, o.j. and he delivered. It was delicious and I didn't have to lift a finger. We ended the day with a family walk around the complex where we took some pics. Thanks hubby for a great Mother's Day.

There are rare times when Coop cooperates with the camera and this was one of them so we went all out. Starting with the ABC's (which is missing quite a few letters), then counting to 10, and lastly doing his shapes. We are proud parents :-)

It was a fun birthday for all of us. Cooper actually understood the concept of a birthday this year which made it fun for Caleb and I to buy presents for him. Caleb was super excited to give him the scooter and I had fun picking out random toys at the dollar store (can't beat that price!). Turns out his favorite toy from the lot was the dollar store play-money. Go figure. He also had us do the birthday cake process (us singing "Happy Birthday" and him blowing out the candles) a grand total of 4 times because he enjoyed it so much! Hey, whatever makes the boy happy on his birthday!

We finally went bowling!

After 623 times of Cooper saying, "Indianapolis, bowling!", we finally made it to the bowley alley. Coop loved it and did great in taking turns with Mom and Dad. I love his face when his ball pops out. So exciting! And yes, he did beat me ;-)

You know you're a big boy when...

...you can make your little brother smile.

...you sleep in a big boy bed. ...and you wear big boy underwear!

Mamma's Boy

And that is an understatment. I like to believe that it's because I'm such a great Mom that he just doesn't let anyone else help him, cuddle him, rescue him, calm him, babysit him, or do anything for him really. And as much as I'm annoyed by it sometimes, I just can't help but love him for it! What can I say, I love be loved!

Newspaper Fun

Correction!!

It's the first weekend of may, but everything else is right.

Graduation PARTY!!!

I was wondering if any of you would be able to come up this weekend, the weekend of the 25th of April, for a Graduation BBQ. I know that a lot of you didn't think this day would come and honestly neither did I, but it's happening. We were thinking around 2 pm on Saturday. Just let us know if you can come cause that would be fun. I hope to see all of you there.

We made it!

After a very long 31 hour drive, we are finally here in Indianapolis and as you can tell Coop really wants to go bowling!

Being a Big Brother

As far as being a big brother goes, I think Coop's got it down. He loves to stick the binky back in Carter's mouth. He enjoys holding the baby (but no longer than 3 seconds). If Carter cries, he's worried. And the best part of all, I can leave the two of them in the same room and not worry about big brother bullying.

I just can't seem to get enough of these two!
