The Farm

It was another wonderful Wenatchee weekend!  

We were invited over to The Smarts for Father's Day dinner.  Because of all the dogs, chickens, horses, and cherry orchards we called it the farm when we told the boys where we were going.  What a blast it was to just walk around the trees and enjoy the beautiful day and all the fun animals.  

Can't beat these beautiful surroundings when you've got a camera!

Seems only appropriate to start with a picture of our father on Father's Day.  

What a wonderful Dad and Papa he is!

Someone had heard that if you stick a chickens beak in the ground and draw a line straight out from it, the chicken would stay completely still because he was mesmerized by the straight line.  So of course we had to try it.  And guess what, its true!  Craziness!

Oh, how I loved watching Coop run freely and play with all his surroundings!

1 more week and its officially cherry season.  Bring on the cherries!

Caleb learned a new trick.  Stick an apple on the end of a bendy stick and you can really fling it far!  Dad said as a kid, they would have wars with just sticks and apples.  

These things would definitely leave a welt!

And of course, you can't forget the 4 wheeler!  First time ever riding one...

...for both of us!  It was really fun!

Here's Crew

This last weekend we were in Wenatchee and we got to meet Crew for the first time.  Such a tiny little guy but so cute!  Here are some shots from his newborn shoot.

Choose your Favorite

I have been designing the logo for our upcoming family reunion. Things were going along quite nicely until we hit a snag in the design process. That snag was a split in which version was liked best. Now it comes down to you to decide your favorite. I will keep a tally and the winner will be put on this years t-shirt.

First some history. It was decided that we wanted to make a t-shirts this year that people would actually wear. This means that we wanted to make the logo small and stylized so that it looks good. The next is that not all the shirts are going to be the same color. Once we decided on a logo, then I will send out an e-mail that lists the colors and types of shirts available. You will then choose the shirt type and color that you want and the logo will be put on it. OK. Please respond with your vote. Voting starts now and will close on Friday. Good luck and choose wisely because my love or mom and dad's happy days may hang on your decision. I am also including the quicksilver logo that this was based off of, just so you know where this is coming from. The lochness monster in the red square I am clueless to the meaning of but was something that Dad wanted added.

Details

Sorry that we didn't post the important details about Crew. This is what happens when I, Broc, post the details about our new baby. So, the details:

He was born on May 28th, 2010. He was 6 lbs 8 ounces and 20 inches long. After his two check up he was 6 lbs 13 ounces. So he is gaining weight fast. Here is a nother picture for good measure.

On the way home from church today I was thinking I have the most beautiful daughters. I love my girls!

Crew is Here!!!

Triplets hit Disneyland

We stayed in the Dream Tower at the Disneyland Hotel.  By accident we found out that the night stand switch turned on the head board lights and played "A Dream is a Wish Your Hear Makes".  By the end of the week the girls had made up at least 50 of their own silly verses to the song.

One of their favorite things was to swim at the pool and go down the giant slide.  I joined them several times.  Then when we got chilly we spend some quality time in the hot tub.

Barb taught them the fireman rescue chair carry, so they carried each other all over the hotel grounds.

At the park we had lots of good opportunities to have pictures taken with some of the Disney Characters.  This one is in Toon Town we went to first.

I let the girls go on this ride alone.  They went twice. Spinning cups weren't really exciting for me.   

We had a special private dinner at Ariel's Grotto, exclusively for  princesses. She invited all the Disney Princesses and they all came to our table.

Aubrey liked Bell the best and gave her a special Aubrey hug.  Which Aubrey gave out to every flight attendant, pilot and anyone else who was nice to us.

Because Eve went on Space Mountain, Aubrey and Jade agreed to go on Grizzly Mountain.  Aubrey got soaked but was a good sport even though she let us know just how really wet she was several times.

The screaming of Jade and Aubrey was ear shattering.

But it was nothing compared to the sounds Eve produced.  My hearing may never be the same.

On Friday we went to Huntington Beach and let them run and scream all they wanted. Aubrey made her own alligator sand creature.

All in all we had a great time.  Every evening after dinner the girls wrote in their journals, did homework and each night Barb and I presented an inspirational thought about one of the Young Women's Values.  We taught them about Choice and Accountability, Divine Nature, Individual Worth and Good Works.  So now we have two years to get ready for Dexter, Dalyn, Ashlyn and Madison.    And by the way we did manage to have pastries and ice cream for breakfast the last day.  Love, Dad

Disney Land or Bust!

OK, are these three the cutest trio you've ever seen or what!?! The girls were so excited to be together and to be with grandma and grandpa.

I love Date Night

A friend in the office (who's wife and 3 kids are still in Utah) offered to stay at our apartment while the boys slept so we could go on a date.  Its always late when Caleb gets home but this turned out perfect.
