New Years Bowling

Although we weren't very good about keeping track of our scores, we still had a lot of fun. Here is the proof...just look at those kids' smiles.:)

Family History Christmas

Thank you Josh and Mindy. I made a frame and painted it to look like stone. It is haning in the den waiting for us to fill in a few hundred blanks.

Thank you all for a wonderful Christmas. It was really one of the best yet.

New yeas day traditions

Here are our bowling scores. The rest of you need to post yours so we can decide on who buys ice cream. My feeling is we are probably on for this year. Tyler just barely beat Jade. But he has many other strengths.

News Years Eve Fun

Tyler created a Lemure at Jade's request. It was a great "hit" (pun intended).

And the winner is...

By a matter of mere minutes, and the good fortune of helping someone jump their car, the Cotton-Headed Ninny Muggins took home the coveted trophy. Emma couldn't have been more proud. Although, I must say, I don't think that either the participants or the winners had any complaints about the awards. (wink, wink) Thanks, Mom and Dad, for a memorable and fun Christmas vacation! We love you!

Team: Jeep Rules!

Some other fun tasks to be completed were singing "My Favorite Things" in front of Target while being videotaped, shopping for an eight-different color ingredient salad to be eaten that night at dinner, riding the Wenatchee Trolley, and taking a picture of the downtown clock exactly on the hour. The night was snowy and the roads were a bit trecherous, but we had a great time.

Team: Cotton-Headed Ninny Muggins

The Amazing Race was one of this year's highlights. We were divided into two teams and sent out at 2:00 pm with a bag of stuff and orders to be back by 5:00 pm. Whichever team could complete the tasks in the shortest amount of time (and who had the most points) would win the coveted trophy. Some of the tasks included calling from a pay phone to answer trivia questions, taking pictures at different locations around Wenatchee, frisbee golf in the snow, and putting together a puzzle at the WRAC. Santa Clause came to town!

We got a rare visit from Santa Clause on December 23rd. All the kids got to sit on Santa's lap and tell Santa what they wanted. Jade and Madison had a few issues with Santa, so they preferred to stay on their mom's lap. Ho! Ho! Ho!

Sledding Fun!

The snow was good to us this year...although the poison oak took it's toll. We sledded down the hill in back of Grandma and Grandpa's house. We tried to clear the path of poison oak, but it somehow got Tyler, Broc, Scott, and Caleb. I think Buddy and Garrett had the most fun.:)

The return of the snow sculpture!

The Gundersen family snow sculpture returned this year with Wenatchee's abundance of snow. Tantor, the Elephant, was sculpted within a couple of hours by all those in the picture along with Grandpa, the picture taker.

Christmas Lights

Here's our lights...leaves a little to be wanted we think. Maybe we'll add to it next year!

Christmas Lights Extravaganza

The Dahmer's are kicking off the soon to be Annual Christmas Lights Extravaganza. Here's a picture of our home after 2 days of snowing...almost a solid foot!

Omniture Christmas Party

The Gundersens, Dahmers and Toru (an Omniture employee from the Japan office) got all dressed up and went to the Omniture Christmas Party at the Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake. We had a great time, but unfortunately, no one came home with any prizes. Maybe next year!

Intramural Champs!

On Tuesday, November 28th, in a chilly 28 degrees, our team "Disc Dates" took the Division 2 Ultimate Frisbee intramural championship...in the snow. Surprisingly it wasn't too bad once we got going although we are glad to be done. Go team!

First Snow

The first snow of the season! This morning was so much fun as Ashlyn, Emma and I braved the cold to play in the snow. Ashlyn loved every single bit of it, while Emma had thoughts of a warm cozy blanket dancing in her head. 

A new Door!

Our new door has finally arrived and been installed. Isn't it beautiful! Thanks Dad and Mom!

Halloween

We know that it's a little past October but we still wanted to share our Halloween with you. In a contest with our friends, Jenny and Sean, we won first prize with our "Pumpkin, Pumpkin" (Far left).


Once again, my 3rd graders loved to have Cinderella as their teacher for a day. They got an extra surprise when my Prince Charming came to visit during the Halloween Party!
