We made it

...to Seattle.

Seemed like a good picture to appropriately describe the weather here.  It has rained or looked like rain every day but one in the last week.  We hear that summers here are quite enjoyable though so we are looking forward to that anxiously.  

Things I have learned about Seattle: (in the week we've been here)

Everything is green and wet.

The streets and loopy loop on ramps are super confusing. (Shout out to navigation)

I need an umbrella

You have to use the freeway to get anywhere.

Traffic hours are 12am-12pm and 12pm-12am.

I need to learn to drive more aggressively.

I'm not a big city girl.

I'm sure I will be learning much more throughout the next 6 months and it will be quite the adventure. 

 I'm looking forward to it!

We love you guys!! It was so good to get together and see you all. (Cassi, I am sorry that I forgot to take this picture while you were still with us. I was planning on it and then....) Can't wait 'til McCall!

Hoppy Easter

Date Night

...with this handsome fella!  

Yep that's right, me & Coop headed out for some one on one time while Daddy gratefully stayed home with little Tarter.  We went to  Ashlyn's dance recital together and not only did I love it, but Coop had his eyes glued to that stage for all 32 dances (the thing was near 3 hours long).  He couldn't get enough of those little girls dancing.  After every dance he would look at me, smile, and say "Here comes another one!".  I kept asking him if he wanted to leave but he would insist that he wanted to stay and watch more.  In the middle of one dance (featuring 3 year old girls just his age) he said to me, "Mommy, those are cute little girls!"   I think we are gonna be in trouble. :-)  

I loved spending time with my little guy.  Its fun to be able to focus just on him for a change and I loved that he was so intrigued the whole time we were there.  Not sure how long that's going to last. ;-)

Funny

Not even sure what was so funny but boy was he one happy, naked little guy!

Future Employees of Home Depot

The first Saturday of every month Home Depot has a kids club.  Coop can go get a free apron and build a small project for free.  He absolutely loves it!  Can you tell we've gone 3 times and each time forgotten to bring the apron we already had?

Dental School

Just in case you haven't heard...Broc got accepted to Midwestern University dental program (here in Glendale Arizona). We are so excited and I am so proud of my wonderful husband! We will be moving to Wenatchee by the end of the month to live with Brian and Barb until school starts in August. I am happy we will be missing most of the harsh Arizona summer but happier to get some quality time with the in-laws!

Bookworms

I love that I have this picture for both boys. I love to read so I'm glad they are enjoying it already at such a young age :-)

The joys of new PJs

As you can see the kids were soooo happy to get their December 1st PJs--thanks grandma! Good job Dex, at least one of you was ready for the picture. (Picture complements of Cassi.)

Let it Snow!

I love snow. I also married a man who loves snow. And we made some babies that inherently love snow as well. It makes for a very happy family when we finally get some! Here are some of our recent snow activities.

Activity #1

Coop loves to help shovel the snow. Hopefully that lasts to when he's a little older and can actually do some good!

Activity #2

Ok, so its not snow technically but its the same concept. We had a fun time introducing ice skating to Coop at Caleb's Northstar Christmas party. His skates were about 8 sizes too big but he had a good time anyway.

Ignore the super red/chapped lips. He has a bad habit of licking his lips although we keep reminding him not to.

Activity #3

Coop LOVES to sled. He could care less that its 17 degrees out or that his fingers are like ice cubes or that his nose resembles Rudolph, he just wants to keep sledding. And after a couple runs with Daddy, he was ready to venture off on his own.

And even Carter was getting in on the action too!

Maybe he saw his big brother and thought he should follow but shortly after Coop's solo run, Carter tried his own solo run by scooting down the hill. Not sure if that was his intent or not:-)

Needless to say we are enjoying the snow and would love to receive more so...
