Ashlyn's recent work

As some of you may be aware, Ashlyn loves to steal the digital camera and take pictures around the house. The best part of about this is that we don't know about it until we go to dump the pictures from the camera into the computer. Here's just a few--our favorites--of Ashlyn's recent work. Enjoy!

Look How Big I Am

Cooper is 3 months old today. He is a smiling, happy baby who loves to sit on the couch like a big boy and watch me do housework. He's growing so big, as you can see and we just can't get enough of all his cute smiles. He officially fits into 3-6 month clothes, which has been fun for Mom since she can now dress him up in all new clothes again. Most people think he looks like his Daddy, what do you think?

Harry Potter and the Bookstore Adventure

It was midnight on the 21st of July. Muggles & wizards alike surrounded the bookstore, awaiting the release of the long-awaited 7th book. When the clock struck 12, spells erupted and Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes could be seen bursting throughout the store. Even with their full-proof disguises as the Potters, Caleb, Cassi, & Cooper were not granted the coveted first-in-line spot, but instead, had to wait for their number to be called (160th). When finally their turn came, Harry (a.k.a. Cooper) was having sweet dreams of long broom rides, James (a.k.a. Caleb) was trying to jinx his way out of paying for the book, & Lilly (a.k.a Cassi) was stroking the cover longingly, wishing for the chance to open that first page.

As you can see, I had some fun with pipe-cleaners and we had a fun time waiting in line at Borders with our friends, Jenny & Sean. It was a late night and Cooper was in and out of sleep but never once cried. He knew how important it was for us to get that book! Now, a couple days later, I have yet to finish, due to the duties of motherhood, but I find it a nice break when Cooper wakes up since this book is super action-packed! Good luck finishing to the rest of you...we will have to discuss later! Enjoy!

Ethan - 9 days old

It's been an eventful first week of Ethan's life. We are finally done with the phototherapy for jaundice (the tanning bed in a suitcase) - and Mom and Ethan couldn't be more thrilled. Ethan is a very sweet and well-tempered baby. We are so happy that he has joined our family!

Cousins

Look at the new cousins. They are having fun together already. Cooper definitely wins in the weight department while Ethan takes the cake for tan skin.

Ethan Lee Dahmer - 7/9/07

Here are the promised pictures of baby Ethan. He's been a great baby so far and we're very excited for him to join our family.

Just to recap the stats, Ethan was born on 7/9/07 at 11:25 AM. He weighed in at 8 lbs 15 oz and was 20.5 inches long. The nurse said he would have weighed in at 9 lbs if he hadn't of peed on her just before being weighed. :)

So far, he appears to be a Gundersen looking baby. He definitely has Emma's same sad face (the one you see before Emma's cries).

Mom is doing very well despite the epidural not working. She'll be claiming a natural delivery on this one. ;)

He's getting so big! He was 12 lbs 3 oz at his last dr. appointment. This was his coming home outfit and look how good it fits now!

Things going on at 1908 Maiden Lane

Barb and I spent a fun day together just fushing around the house. We got our bird feeder up and filed we got from Truman, Eve, Dexter & Graham. Thank you, the birds will love it.

We also put up the Grandma and Grandpa sayings we got from Ashlyn and Emma. They fit perfectly in the cloud picture in the Grandma room. Thank you.

And we had a creatue follow us home from Alaska so we decided to use it as a greeter on the front porch. We hope he doesn't scare anyone away.

Thanks to Grandma, Cooper has a very cute matching hat, robe, and suit. The hat is still a little too big but the suit & robe is great!
It was a little cold at first but he gradually got used to it.
