The Newest Part of Our Family

We are very excited to announce the newest addition to our family. We rescued him from the human society. He is a mix. They think he's got a little aussie and terrier in him. The vet said he will be about 40 lbs but we don't believe her. He's a good little puppy, and he is great with the boys. Beckham asks about him every morning and Crew get's licked by him all the time. We are really happy.

While Tyler & Adria were chasing elephants

Jade and Madi stayed with us while Tyler & Adria were in Africa doing humanitarian dental work.  So of cousrse we had to make some masterpieces.  Madi decided our menu for us.  First, Hawiian meat balls, then pizza, next Hawiian meat balls, next pizza...

Valentines was also an importantant event that we got to share with the girsl.  We took Kathleens lead and delivered roses to all the widows in our ward.  It was fun to see the faces of both the widows and the girls.  It was a special event, especially for Barb and I.

I got this email the other day about this race that is going on in Salt Lake that I thought would be so much fun! It reminded me of the Family Great Race (except we will not all be winners). I don't know all the details, but it looks like you do it in couples/teams and we figure out 12 clues and complete "mental and physical challenges". I think this would be SO much fun to do as couples against each other. ( I would love to do it as a big team, but that is against the rules) There is a family division, but when I was reading about it you have to have one person under the age of 18 on your team. Maybe Tyler and Misty could do this with their older kids...

Well this is just a thought, but I just wanted to send it your way. :)

Birthday Thank you

I loved the letters. Thank you so much for thinking of me on my birthday. I loved the memories, and I feel so special that you remembered me on my old making feeling day. Turning 30 is not fun, but I am so happy with my life that I wouldn't change a thing...well out of dental school would be nice. But besides that I wouldn't change a thing...maybe muscles again would be ok. But seriously that's it. I love you all, and thanks again.

Love the place, love the house, love the family...as usual, it was a blast!
Here's a little recap for memories sake.

Boating

*Unfortunately every time we went out, we forgot the camera.  However, that does not mean we did not have a super fun time while on the boat.  Every time I go wake-boarding, I forget how much I really enjoy it!  Caleb got up and really started to enjoy it as well.  And the boys just loved being on the boat and jumping in the water in between the wakeboarders.  I can't wait to go again.  Thanks to Mom, Dad, Tyler, Adria, Scott, & Misty for hauling those all the way to McCall!!

The Great Race

Our 3rd one so far put on by our wonderful, fantastic, creative parents.  We had to capture all of the below things on camera within 2 hours and then produce a video presentation that night:

-5 Random acts of kindness

-Pictures of bugs, animals, monuments

-Word puzzle about our parents' past

-Trivia about McCall Idaho 

-All team members fully submersing the lake

-Someone on the team getting eaten by the lake monster

AND...

my favorite part of all...

-making our own fire...without matches.

This was about the coolest thing I've learned to do in a long while.  

A big shout-out to Jason for teaching us all how to BUST out a fire!

So take a look at that beautiful match-free fire.  Ya, we made that!

Oh, and on a sidenote, our team won although we forgot to take a picture with the trophy!

Making Ice Cream

This was such a cool idea by my Misty.  So creative and fun!

Mini Olympics

Water Balloon Launching was part of this.  Standing at set intervals and catching the launched waterballoons with a towel.  The grankids had a blast being able to shoot these...so did the big kids!  Great job making these Josh and Mindy!
